FAQ

  • You would typically put MIDI Cap on a track in your DAW that is record armed and monitors your MIDI device.

That way everything you play will be accessible later as allowed by the recording duration.

MIDI Cap can also be used to capture generative MIDI effects. (MIDI arps, chord generators, MIDI CC LFOs etc.)

  • MPE support is currently not final. Depending on your setup, using MPE with MIDI Cap might just work fine, but there is no guarantee that it will.

It is recommended to try the lite version if you are planning to use MIDI Cap strictly with an MPE controller.

  • You can install MIDI Cap on multiple personal computers as long as you are the sole user of the devices.

For devices that are shared between multiple users, each device requires its own MIDI Cap license.

  • The download button in the delivery email always downloads the latest version of the plugin.
